TheyCQ Mentoring and Community Discussion

The most successful business leaders all have mentors. Many times, youve had a mentor - whether you realized it or not. Your little league coach. A favorite teacher. A parent or grandparent. A mentor takes a little time to understand where youre trying to go, and gives you tips and tricks to help you get there. They know you want to get into a particular college, so they work with you after practice on a few things youre weak on, and then they introduce you to a friend of theirs in the athletic department. Or they know you want to get a particular role in an upcoming play, so they give you a few "inside tips" on how to land the role.

But once youre out on your own in the work world, whos your mentor? How do you find one whos not just where you are, but where you want to go?

You may not know where you want your career to go, or maybe you do and dont know how to make it happen. Whether youre a new college graduate, recently left the military and are transitioning, or are just mid career and not sure whats next, TheyCQ is your answer.

TheyCQ connects you with peers who have similar backgrounds in private communities and allows a free exchange of ideas/questions and assistance. It also facilitates you connecting with a matched mentor for one on one guidance.

TheyCQ is broken up into communities based on past professional experiences (e.g Women in Technology, Military Veterans), college education (e.g. Santa Clara University, SJSU), or specific companies (e.g. Ten-X, Cisco). Each community is moderated and members are screened as they request to join to ensure they are appropriate for the community. TheyCQ requires you to join with your LinkedIn account to facilitate screening. Youre encouraged to add your Facebook and Twitter accounts to make it easier for Mentors, Moderators and Community members to interact with you.

Youll get the help you need from successful peers and business leaders experienced in the subjects most important to you. Ask questions. Find out what you need to be a success. Whether its a resume review, an industry certification, formal education or simply an introduction to the right person. Along the way, answer questions of those not as far along in their career and help them get ahead.
